We are happy and thankful that you are planning to (or perhaps already have) visited us. We want you to feel right at home when you arrive.
Everyone has some questions when visiting a church for the first time. Hopefully, this page can answer some of those questions. If you have any questions that you do not find the answer to on this page, please feel free to send us your comment or question here.
Where are you located and what are your service times?
We are located in the community of Jayess, Mississippi at the intersection of Powell and Powells Grove Road. For directions, our physical address, and a complete listing of service times see the Location and Times page.
Will anyone be available to direct me or assist me in finding my way around the church?
You will be greeted at the door of the main sanctuary by church members acting as ushers and hostesses. Feel free to ask any of these men or women any question that you might have. They will be happy to help you find a seat, show you to a classroom, or assist you in any other way. To see where parking, entrances, classrooms, and other areas are located you can click here to view a building directory/map.
Do you have opportunities for children?
Yes! Children are an important part of our church family. Age-appropriate Sunday School classes are provided every Sunday morning from 10:00-10:45AM. Each Wednesday night, Children from the ages of 5-11 gather for Children’s Church in the family life center.
Do you have a nursery?
We do not have a staffed nursery at this time; however, a “cry and dry” room equipped with rocking chairs, a sink, and changing tables is provided for your convenience off of the foyer at the rear of the sanctuary.
What is a Sunday service like?
On Sunday mornings we begin with Sunday School from 10:00 – 10:45AM; children and teens go into classrooms while the adults meet together in the sanctuary for Bible teaching. Sunday School is followed by a worship service.
All of our worship services are characterized by heartfelt worship, passionate preaching, and are usually concluded with an opportunity for prayer. Read more about “How we Worship” here.
How can I find out more about your church?
Please visit us and experience the love of God and His people firsthand! You will find a very welcoming group of people who genuinely care and who will be happy to tell you more about our church, our great God, and all the wonderful things He has done for us!
If you would like to know more about what we believe, you can read about that here. We would also love to meet with you to study the Bible if you so desire; you can request a free Bible study here. We would be more than happy to meet you in your home, here at the church, or somewhere else that you would find convenient and comfortable.
Once again always feel free to contact us here or give us a call.
Thanks for visiting with us!
